The Apartment
is a one bedroom, one bath, 1100 sq ft loft apartment in the prestigious Eagle Warehouse building. There are three new sound proof windows looking out onto the Brooklyn Bridge - looking across you see the Manhattan Bridge, and the East River. Ceilings are 12 feet high with seven separately controlled banks of spotlights. There is an additional loft above the bedroom, and another in the NW corner of the loft. The open kitchen has plenty of cabinet and counter space and opens into the living room/dining room. There are hardwood floors and the North and South apt walls have the original brick exposed, with an additional layer of brick added (for putting candles on).
The Eagle Warehouse was built in the 1880s and housed the local paper where Walt Whitman once worked. The building has doormen (8am until midnight) and a very responsive staff. The building has laundry facilities and a garbage chute on every floor and a gym in the basement. The apartment is on the 7th floor - which is the top floor for the elevator nearest it. Pets are allowed (and the dog park is one block away).
